Something to believe in

Today I have been reminded about the strength of faith, I have met people who have lost so much and yet they are unwavering in their beliefs. We all need something to believe in, be it a higher power, ourselves or that the sun will shine tomorrow (here’s hoping with all this rain). That being said, faith, belief and hope seem to go hand in hand in a lot our lives. I need to have faith that someday there will be a novel of mine on the shelves in a prominent book store, I need to believe in myself and pick up the pen and write something, anything even if it’s just for me, like this blog. This blog is making me write something every single day even if it is only me and a couple of people who read it, it doesn’t matter, it is already serving a purpose, it is getting me to do something I love daily and there aren’t many people out there who can say that, can you?

And finally hope, hope is such a powerful thing. Hope keeps us going just as much as faith sometimes. I hope that one day more than a handful of people will read my blog, I hope that more than a couple of people will read my books. I am lucky enough to have a lot of friends on Facebook (534 to be precise) and I know a good few of them are family but just how many of those friends and family members have actually read anything I have written? Oh I know there are some truly wonderful people out there who have (I know, I get the reports) and I treasure you more than you know for actually taking time out to do that, (Louise I am definitely talking to you xxx) it means so much to me.

However I live in hope that one day more than single figures will read something I have written maybe even buy my current book on Amazon; but until then faith will keep me going, belief will keep the pen in my hand and hope will light the way on these dark rainy winter nights until spring begins again.
