My Journey of A Thousand Miles

Lao Tzu stated “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”
And this is my first venture into the world of blogging and about my silent passion..writing. “Why silent?” I hear you ask. Because writer’s block stifles my creativity? Or is it my own fear that what I write will never be good enough to be read by anyone other than me?
Writing has been the one constant in my life since I was a little girl, I have come a long way from that shy self conscious girl who wrote out pages from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves just because she loved writing.
I would sit and write for hours at a time because the stories would just be there waiting for me to write them.
But now the fear stops me putting pen to paper, mutes my muse and I find myself staring at paper blankly desperately trying to find the words. Why when I was younger was this not a problem and now that I am a fully fledged adult, older and wiser suddenly it is as if I need to re learn how?
So dear reader this is the start of my journey, my single step into blogging, my writing journey starting again as an adult full of fear of inadequacy and the ever present fear of poor grammar; but ultimately the beginning of falling in love with a quiet passion that no longer wants to stay that way.
