Fleeting Moments

Where did the time go? It amazes me how fast this holiday has gone..oh the plans I had which for one reason or another have fallen by the wayside in deference to my inner sloth. I admit I found it difficult to kick myself back into gear after July and still feel like I’m fighting the urge to go hide under my duvet for another month but emerge I must as next week Uni beckons and I must start adulting again.
My writing brain is thankfully still with me, though poems have been Bob’s favourite gift to me of late..even on my darker days I could almost see him quietly shuffling in and hesitantly hand me a scribbled idea or two before hurrying back out again (Bob is my imaginary muse for anyone who didn’t read that blog). But this week my attention is turning back to the stories..oh I have sooo many ideas!! Threads and conversations to weave in..so many different characters whose stories must be told (I hope I can do them justice).
Fleeting moments of inspiration come and go like a tide..I hear conversations as clear as if I am stood beside them..but then find myself wrestling with dilemmas..without solutions (as yet). This fantasy writing has my mind running in different directions and I’m never quite sure where it will lead me to next but I have to say I am loving it. Creating and shaping my world..working out my characters..how they will look..how they will act and I look forward to one day introducing them to the world.
